Bucharest, Nov 24 (Prensa Latina) An exhibition of contemporary Cuban art consisting of works by Eduardo Abela, Juan Brower, Yari Delgado, Sandor Gonzalez, Oscar Javier Jacas, and Yasbel Perez, was inaugurated in Romania, diplomatic sources reported on Wednesday.

The inauguration of the exhibition, held in the framework of the Days of Cuban Culture in Bucharest, was attended by Ambassador Deborah Ojeda Valedon, and Bucharest-based Cervantes Institute Director Jorge Jimenez-Zumalacarregui Alvarez.

In his opening speech, Cuban Embassy Advisor Vladimir Perez praised the work of these artists, their creative maturity and the themes of their artworks.

The Days of Cuban Culture in Bucharest started on November 21 and will run through December 22. They will also consist of screening three films by Cuban filmmakers Lester Hamlet and Arturo Sotto: “Ya no es antes” and “Casa Vieja” (Hamlet) and “Boccacherias habaneras” (Sotto).

The exhibition was attended by local cultural personalities, diplomats, gallery owners, journalists and the public in general.
