Moscow, Jan 13 (Prensa Latina) Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin on Thursday expressed there are risks of new waves of Covid-19, while stressing the existence of vaccines to fight the disease.

In a video message to attendees at the 13th Gaidar Forum, Mr. Mishustin pointed out that at the end of 2021, the proportion of people vaccinated with the first component of new immunizers reached 60% of global population.

Likewise, he considered it important to strengthen protection system against new biological threats in coming years, from early diagnosis to rapid development of vaccines and therapeutic drugs.

“Many experts have warned Omicron variant may not be the last one. And we must be prepared for it,” Mr. Mishustin said, while stressing that today´s major mission is to take care of people’s health and increase life expectancy.
